The Aviator was introduced in response to requests for a rod with 1k weave to the tip. A completely new design to Torrix with faster taper mandrels. Harrison have now developed a range of actions for all applications. The star of the range is the 12ft Aviator Plus. It comes in at 3lb 6oz test curve making it a fraction more powerful than the 3.25lb (3lb 4oz) Torrix which helps it gain a few more yards on the cast. this rod is now joined by two more 12ft models a Plus 2 3.5lb and Plus 3 3.75lb.
If you need more distance but want a rod with fish playing action, consider the 12ft 6ins and 13ft Aviators, both rated at 3 1/2lb. A longer rod can have more casting power and fish playing action. The 13ft Aviator is now joined by a 13ft Plus 2 at 3.75lb which is very close to the popular Trebuchet Light for casting power, and a little lighter and slimmer.
