Trakker Captive Backweights are designed to keep your line pinned down and out of the way close to your rod tips. The perfect solution for venues with boat traffic and other obstacles.
Designed for reliability, the gate latch system provides a smooth, secure release, and the smooth winder shape ensures the cord deploys as the backweight slides along the mainline. 1m of heavy, lead-free leader is spliced at the backweight end to keep the cord down on the lakebed; this vastly reduces tangles, something that regularly happens with conventional captive systems.
After the sinking lead-free section, a 9-metre Hi-Viz UV-reactive red cord glows under UV light, making it easy to track in low-light conditions. You can attach the winder plate onto snag ears, position it underneath alarms, or peg it into the ground. When it’s time to pack up, simply wind the cord back onto the winder and the backweight neatly mounts into the slot with the gate latch for hassle-free storage.
